Project Manager
SPARK6 is looking for a full-time contractor for the role of Scrum Master (project manager) for a digital creative agency based in Santa Monica, Salt Lake City, and Buenos Aires. This position would be 100% remote. Our focus is on designing and building digital products that range from simple websites and mobile apps, all the way to custom software and API development. Our ideal client is using technology in the space of sustainability, social justice, and education. We are not reviewing resumes. Who We’re Looking For
🇺🇸 Proficient English speaker (comfortable talking, writing, and reading)
🗓️ 1 year of experience working remotely as a Project Manager for an agency or software company.
🖥️ Proficient using Slack, Zoom, Gmail, Google Calendar, and ClickUp.
🕟 Available to work US MT hours between 8am to 4pm, Monday through Friday
📊 Knowledge of Agile/Scrum Project Management Methodology: More of a willingness to learn than it is about experience. Some of us are traditionally trained and others have learned from books and the internet. We have extensive documentation to follow, so it's more about the ability to follow directions than anything else.
🧑🏽💻 Technical Background: The more the better, but there is no need for a deep understanding of engineering disciplines, although you will often be sitting between the client and our engineering team.
🖌️ Design Background: Same as technical; not required but any previous work around user experience or visual design would be helpful.
🤝 People and Communication Skills: You’ll need loads of these, both oral and written. As the conduit between the exceptions of the client, and the team members responsible for deliverables, there are always wrinkles to smooth out with both parties and lots of trains to keep running on time.
🎓 Education: A degree, a certification, or anything in-between is not required. We do care about those communication skills, the ability to pick things up, and hustle. Basically looking for someone with an interest in this work and a bit of fire in their belly. This position holds the opportunity to see a wide range of projects, learn a ton, and grow into a bigger role.
Tasks & Responsibilities
🖥️ Coordinating and hosting weekly stand-up video conferences with clients for all open projects via Zoom.
💬 Keeping up on all Slack project communications.
✅ Ensuring new projects undergo a completed checklist of tasks when they spool up.
🗓️ Daily team check-ins on Slack.
📉 Weekly summary reports of all open projects.
🧾 Creation of client billing reports.
📊 Ownership and updating of the project Agile board.
